Description of Royal Doulton Noir Light Open Vegetable

The Noir Light 10-1/2-inch oval vegetable dish has gently sloping sides that showcase its floral border. (The Light variation of Noir means gray fruit against bone-white china; Dark is white fruit against a black background.) The rim is edged with Noir's thin signature basket-weave border, like a black cord wrapped with tan ribbon. It's a striking look, using traditional imagery in a modern color scheme. Other matching pieces in the Noir Light variation include a covered, double-handled vegetable dish, as well as coffee mugs, a teapot, a cream jug, and a sugar bowl.
